Day 9 of the Absolutely Erotic blog hop

Happy May 16th, everyone. The Absolutely Erotic blog hop marches on. Our main site is managed by the ever-talented L.A. Witt (when she’s not fending off character assassination attempts by her nemesis Lauren Gallagher.)

Today, Ravon Silvius will be interviewing Jocelyn Dex. Follow. Enjoy. Comment. There are prizes to be had.

Also today, I’m posting a nefariously-obtained transcript of an interview with Moro and Val, the main characters of my debut M/M erotic romance space opera Moro’s Price. I think the interview takes place after the events documented in Price and its sequel Moro’s Shield.

This is how the wonderful Fiona Jayde cast the boys in the great cover Loose Id gave me last year. MCH_MorosPrice_coverlg

Moro and Val for interview 2This is the photo-manipulation I used as a reference when writing and developing backstories.

[Interviewer] “Good afternoon, gentlefolk. Thanks for sending in your questions and comments by our recording deadline. If you’re just joining us, I’m at an undisclosed location on Galileo Station, awaiting the arrival of two men who have been much in the news lately – ah, here they are. Thank you for consenting to this interview, Sero Antonin, Sero Dalgleish.”

[Valier Antonin, sitting on the edge of the couch] “Seros Antonin, please.”

[Interviewer] “Pardon?”

[Valier Antonin] “There are two of us. I married him. I gave him my name, first. Before he was inflicted with all those other names.”

[Interviewer] “Other names?”

[Valier Antonin, with strained precision] “Taimoro Aksenna Dalgleish Antonin Sardis.” (Glowers at interviewer) “And where’s Deljou Shannon? I thought we gave this exclusive to her.” (Taps data into an unrolled com screen.) “Who are you, really?”

[Moro Dalgleish, lounging on the couch] “S-settle down, Val. She’s right. It’s too c-confusing if there are two of us. Sera, you have r-read and agreed to our limitations on this interview?”

[Interviewer] “I have. I’m surprised at the questions you’re willing to allow. My listeners apparently want to know everything. (Laughs) “May we discuss the parameters of your sexual relationship with Sero Antonin, Sero Dalgleish?

[Valier Antonin] “Wait! I did not agree – mmph!” (Sero Dalgleish grabs his husband’s shoulder and pulls him back down.)

[Moro Dalgleish] “I did. Please c-continue, Sera.”

[Interviewer] “I notice you easily dominate your husband in public, Sero Dalgleish. It’s common knowledge that you were a bond-slave for many years, and subject to terrible abuse. Did that previous mistreatment create a craving for submission? Does Sero Antonin adequately fulfill your needs?”

[Valier Antonin, struggling to get out of Sero Dalgleish’s grip] “What?”

[Moro Dalgleish] “He does. It took me a long time to understand that abuse d-didn’t cause my k-kinks, Sera. That I wasn’t to blame for more than a genetic tendency from my Sonta background. B-both Val and I had to learn – and unlearn – a lot, but our r-relationship has only strengthened. Spending time among the Sonta helped us d-discover our aptitudes and limits.” (Sero Antonin relaxes and holds Sero Dalgleish’s free hand.)

[Interviewer] “What surprised both of you most? I understand you cannot talk specifically about your Sonta experiences.”

[Moro Dalgleish] “Val had t-to let go of his guilt. Before he could learn how d-drive me out of my mind.”

[Valier Antonin, smiling at Sero Dalgleish] “When I hurt you, I always hated how much I loved it, too. Until you showed me what it felt like to submit.”

[Interviewer] “What was that like, Sero Antonin?”

[Valier Antonin] “Like freefall from miles up. Only instead of a parachute and inertial dampeners at the end, the best orgasm I’d ever felt. So I finally got it. The more stress he’s under out here, the more he relies on me during our sessions.”

[Moro Dalgleish, hugging Sero Antonin] “I n-need pain sometimes. It centers me. But I’d c-climax even under duress, and still feel some relief. That he loves me d-desperately makes it better. Safer.”

[Valier Antonin] “Who’s addicted to whom, you dour giant?”

(A side door opens to stage right. A young woman with short curly brown hair and rumpled, oil-stained coveralls waves an unlit cutting torch at the men on the couch. Valier Antonin snarls silently. Moro Dalgleish grins. The woman taps her wrist com urgently, then closes the door. The whole exchange takes no more than ten seconds.)

[Interviewer] “I understand the Camalian Parliament is pressuring you both to return to Camonde because of succession issues?”

[Valier Antonin] “Ugh, yes. The Empress can rule for a century or two longer, but she wants me settled soon. Some nonsense about parading every eligible Potential female mate in front of us. Now they know Moro is obviously my Knife, everyone is looking for my Shield – my queen.” (Shares a sly side look with Sero Dalgleish.) “We’re in no hurry. Being ambassadors between the Commonwealth, the Terran League, and the Sonta is work enough for now.”

[Intervier] “You’ve called yourselves ‘ambassadors’ before this, gentlemen. Some among the Terran League have labeled you ‘privateers’ and ‘arms dealers’. Is it true that you have taken sides with dissident frontier worlds against League mega-corporation mandates? And that you use the tacit threat of Sardis or Sonta intervention to silence your opposition?”

[Moro Dalgleish, leaning forward] “I c-cannot control what the Sonta do or think, even within my g-grandmother’s tribe. Although I have g-given up the Directorship of Rio Sardis to William Volker Sardis, I still sit on the Rio Sardis g-governing board. I know the damage unchecked ‘p-progress’ can do to fragile frontier worlds and cultures. We p-proved to Rio Sardis it’s more cost effective to work with local governments, r-rather than against them. Sardis p-provides an example for other c-corporations to follow.”

[Valier Antonin, pushing Sero Dalgleish back into the couch] “Easy, love. You know politics are a touchy subject. Are those visual feeds active, Sera?”

[Interviewer] “They are, Sero Antonin.”

[Moro Dalgleish] “What visuals?”

[Valier Antonin] “These visuals.” (Drags his husband down for a long kiss, then stands up) “This interview is over, Sera.”

Hmm, that went better than I expected it to. No one was shot or mind-controlled into a coma, this time.

Obligatory blurb:

Prince Valier gives suicidal escaped-slave Moro another option than leaping off a skyscraper – a few hours of meaningless rough sex, while Moro is infected with Val’s lethal symbiont. Neither man expects Moro to survive, or become the one man in the galaxy who can tame Val’s darker urges.
