After a couple of decades of dithering around with it, ‘Needle and Sword’ is finally becoming a novella instead of a short story. Possibly a book, since I have a tendency to stuff too much into manuscripts.
I’ll be honest: I’m pantsing most of it, since I have no idea how the two larger stories within it are going to play out. It’ll be fun. I’m not sure whether Sivonie is as ace as she plays in the newest drafts, but Talai definitely merits a F/F romance.
But since this will most likely be a self-published piece, I’ve been playing with cover ideas. I like this version best, so far, but no guarantees how the final D2D version will look.
